I would like to take this opportunity to wish all members of the WA Liberal Party the very best for a relaxing and safe Christmas and New Year break.
It is an understatement to say that 2024 has been an incredibly busy and productive year for the WA Liberal Party.
The Party has preselected a record number of new candidates to contest the State and Federal elections, built up our team at Head Office to support those local campaigns, and undertaken a significant amount of central fundraising (including our enormously successful 80th Anniversary Gala Dinner) to put ourselves in the best possibly position to fight the two forthcoming campaigns.
I’m acutely aware that this activity at a central level is being matched in electorates right across WA, where local teams are supporting our field of candidates through grassroots campaigning activities and local fundraising events.
As State President, I’m hugely appreciative to all our members for the work that’s been done to date, and the discipline everyone is showing in ensuring our focus remains on holding two underperforming Labor governments to account and demonstrating that we have practical plans to deliver change.
The scale and pace of our campaigning efforts will only intensify as 2025 begins – so please ensure that you take some time out during the Christmas-New Year period to relax, recharge and spend time with family and friends.
Head Office will be closed from COB on Friday 20 December, and will re-open on Monday 6 January 2025.
Once again, thank you for everything you have done to support the WA Liberal Party throughout 2024.
Please drive safely if you are traveling during the break, and return refreshed and ready to campaign to deliver the change WA deserves in 2025.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year.
Caroline Di Russo
State President
