With barely three weeks to go till Australians head to the polls on Saturday, 3rd May 2025, we have a real opportunity to change our country’s future.
The Albanese Labor Government has clearly shown over the term gone by that its priorities are not aligned with the concerns of everyday Australians.
Its flagship Voice to Parliament project convincingly defeated in October 2023 cost taxpayers nearly half a billion dollars.
The difference between us and the Labor-Greens alliance has never been clearer.
Only a Dutton Coalition Government will tackle the cost-of-living crisis, build a stronger economy, back small businesses, deliver affordable and reliable energy, fix the housing crisis, rebalance migration, keep Australians safe, ensure quality healthcare, grow regional Australia, take practical action for Indigenous communities, build sustainable communities and cut government waste.
In these uncertain global times, we simply can't risk having Mr Albanese continue to lead the country.
Only Peter Dutton can provide the steady leadership and strength needed to protect Australian interests and keep global trade flowing smoothly.
Remember that it isn't enough just to have the right policies and values, the ability to convey them plainly and persuasively matters equally, if not more.
Between now and election day, the Policy Committee’s sole focus is on assisting our federal campaigns with practical advice and talking points to support our candidates.
We're always heartened by the enthusiasm of our party members offering valuable input.
During campaigns, the responsibility to make policy announcements rests solely with the parliamentary leadership.
The most effective opportunity to shape our policy platform comes outside election cycles.
After the election, there will be ample opportunities for members with specific expertise to step forward and make valuable contributions, as we have always done.
Lastly, this month we lost a dear friend and valued contributor to the Policy Committee, Keith Windschuttle, who passed away on 8th April 2025 at the age of 83.
Keith was one of Australia's most respected historians and frequently shared his insights through articles in our flagship publication The Contributor and via Zoom webinars.
His close friendships with former Prime Ministers John Howard and Tony Abbott were widely known and his passing has been deeply felt by many.
The Policy Committee has many exciting initiatives planned for the year ahead and these will be announced after the federal election.
Feel free to reach out if you or the campaign you are working on needs anything from the Policy Committee. Always happy to help.
Regards,
Dr Sherry Sufi
