Thank you to all our WA Liberal Party candidates, staff, and volunteers who put their trust in us at last Saturday’s election.
To our candidates, I say thank you.
Running for office at any level is a challenge that demands immense personal sacrifice - not just from candidates, but from their families and friends.
I want to congratulate all our new incoming members who have earned the trust of their communities across Western Australia.
I look forward to working alongside every single one of you to hold the Cook Labor Government to account and fight for the election of a Liberal Government that Western Australians need in 2029.
None of our success in this election would have been possible without the dedication of our state director, Simon Morgan, and his team at Liberal Headquarters.
Their tireless hard work ensured our candidates had every chance of success.
Although 8 March wasn’t the result we had hoped for, there were many significant swings in seats across Western Australia that have made our pathway to government clear in 2029.
These swings have also delivered new and talented members to our upper house team, ending Labor’s total control of Parliament.
One thing is clear: WA is not better off under Labor.
Our health system is in crisis, and Western Australians deserve world-class healthcare.
Crime is rising, and our police force is under immense strain.
The cost-of-living crisis is hitting households harder than ever, with no relief in sight.
Housing affordability continues to worsen.
We know that the Cook Labor Government has no plan to address these issues and no intention of changing direction.
The fight to deliver a WA Liberal Government doesn’t end here. Our emboldened WA Liberal team will continue to hold this Cook Labor Government to account.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support.
The fight for 2029 begins.
