64th Federal Council A Success For Team WA

The Liberal Party’s 64th Federal Council on Sydney on 21-22 June proved a successful one for the Western Australian delegation.

Ben Small was re-elected as one of the Party’s four Federal Vice-Presidents, Henry Brown was elected Chair of the Federal Rural & Regional Committee, and each of the policy motions moved by Western Australian delegates were supported by Federal Council.

These included motions reinforcing our commitment to AUKUS, prioritising foundational skills and a more balanced approach to the teaching of history in the national curriculum, and a motion committing to the pursuit of workplace relations policies that promote flexibility and help small businesses.

Additionally, WA Liberal Leader Libby Mettam had the opportunity to address Federal Council, highlighting why WA deserves better and setting out how her vision for WA provides a compelling contrast with the Cook Labor Government.

Thanks to all members of the WA delegation for demonstrating unity, commitment and enthusiasm for our cause right throughout Federal Council.
